Typewritten transcripts of letters written by Frankel to his mother in Winnetka, Illinois while he was in England for five months as a representative of Allison Division of General Motors Corporation, in which he describes living conditions, the blitz, and his work training British pilots and trouble shooting Allison motors used in military aircraft. Also included are copies of several letters written to Frankel by friends and family in Indianapolis.
